Well that’s it… August has been a month of rest for some and mental work for others! But above all, we’ve all had fun this month and been balancing our time well!
We always try and take a little down time in August, to enjoy the final summer months and have a little reset for the latter half of the year. But we balanced this well this month with 2 days working with our wonderful clients at Anderson Barrowcliff, welcoming some new employees to their team and giving our PERFORM and Mental Health and wellness training.
It was also this month that our wonderful Oliver got his A-Level results – we couldn’t be prouder of his achievements and are delighted to annouce he’s heading to Leeds to study law in just a few weeks time!
To treat him for these fabulous results, Tabby whisked him away for a couple of nights in Madrid. A brilliant, much needed break with sunshine, good food and a few tipples!
Not only was it Oliver working hard this year, Tabby has now finalised and submitted her Masters dissertation – We’re keeping everything crossed for the results in mid September 🤞
Keri’s been extremley busy with her wedding clients this month, completing 15 weddings, whilst still finalising plans for her own next month! It’s been abit hectic!
Sadly though, this month we did have to say goodbye to our Weddings on the Mind book number 1 fan, Keri’s gorgeous 94 year old Nana – a wonderful lady who always supported Mode for… and Weddings on the Mind and will be sadly missed💚
Whilst most bands are taking their Summer break, Tabby’s band has been keeping busy with 2 weeks working with the National Theatre in a production of “The Doncastrian Chalk Circle”. With a 120 strong cast of professionals and people from the local community – it was an absolutely amazing experience and we are very sad it ended – but the wrap party was good!!
And, on top of all that – Tabby has started her challenge of running 225km between the beginning of August and 15th October – she’s 69km in! Rather than raising money she’s trying to raise awareness and gain some support for our Brass on the Mind project, that supports the mental health and wellness of brass band musicians. To support her, please sign our Mental Health Charter for Brass Bands here – it’s completely FREE!
We’ve got an EXTREMELY exciting month next month – just you wait and see!
Much Love
The Mode for… Team x
